THE VINE: the new side event within the World Bulk Wine Exhibition

In this new area of the World Bulk Wine Exhibition, all the commercial applications generated by research, studies and innovations in the vine sector, will be promoted and encouraged. The goal is to broaden commercial contacts among professionals from the sector. During the course of its five editions, the WBWE has established itself as the main event in the wine business, and in 2014 it goes one step further in order to become the largest international meeting for professionals who work with, study and develop the many commercial applications derived from the vine.

The WBWE seeks to create synergies, debate and commercial agreements among the different vine business branches:

  • Table grapes.
  • Raisins, which offer great potential for pharmaceutical and cosmetics uses.
  • Vine shoots, rich in tannins and anthocyanins, which can be used in countless ways, such as barbecues.
  • Vine leaves: both as a food product and applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Beauty products made from grapes: antioxidants, tanning products, uses of resveratrol, etc.
  • Culinary and gastronomic uses: jams, syrups, etc.
  • Grape syrup.
  • Soft-drinks, which are obtained by diluting concentrated must (unfermented pressed grapes).
  • Mistela.
  • Grape-seed oils.
  • Colorings from red grape skins, which are used as natural colorings in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries.
  • Organic fertilizers (from grape marc).
  • Feed and animal foodstuffs (from grape seeds, vine shoots, leaves, bunches, fermenting yeasts, etc.)
  • Biofuel.
  • Alcohol-free wine.
  • Products for serving and presenting wine.

Universities will have a privileged space in order to present their research and progress in the fields of vines, grapes and its derivatives.
